Fee-Paying Student Visa

• This visa is for international students who wish to study full-time at an approved education provider in New Zealand. You must pay the full tuition fee for your courses and meet health, character, and financial requirements. As you study in New Zealand, you could aid your partner and child visa applications to stay along with you while you study

Exchange Student Visa

• If you have been accepted into an approved student exchange program, you can apply for this visa to study full-time in New Zealand. Unlike the fee-paying visa, you don’t need to pay tuition fees to the New Zealand institution, but you must have an approved exchange sponsor. If you are 16 or 17, obtain permission to work up to 20 hours per week and/or full-time during the summer vacation. If you are 18 years old and wish to work over your summer vacation, you do not require formal consent.

Pathway Student Visa

• This visa allows you to study up to 3 consecutive courses on a single visa, reducing the need for multiple applications. You must have an offer from a Pathway Education Provider and sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees. Depending on your course of study, you can work up to 20 hours a week as a part-time employee while you study and full-time during the vacations.
